Ouch poor kid, well I am assuming she is young. The absence of judgement is more common in the young especially on Facebook.
Yes, she is young. I’d like to think an ‘experienced’ worker would have more sense 🙂
More so the friending on facebook. He does so have a choice. I hate when people hide behind that phrase.
Me, too, Jester Queen. I had to put that in there because my bosses use it all the time when delivering bad news. Makes me wonder who the head honcho blames the decision on!

I agree with JQ . . . people do tend to hide behind that phrase when other choices ARE available.
It’s management lingo (when the manager doesn’t want to take responsibility for the action.) I’ve heard it before, Nancy (except it wasn’t for getting fired for doing belly shots or friending my boss on Facebook :))

as far as friending your boss on fb . . . GOOD LORD, NOOOOOOO! I don’t even use my real name. Many people know how to find me – so I try to keep it civil, but I am always aware that someone, somewhere is watching and sure to tell . . .
so I make that choice. 🙂
I’ve never done belly shots, but a friend told me about it years ago. I could never imagine doing that, but perhaps after a couple shots it isn’t that bad?? I don’t have a Facebook account at all, so I have managed to avoid that madness!

neat story! … did you read recently that in the US, some prospective employers are now asking for facebook access from job interviewees, at the interview. I’m so glad I’m self-employed, because my Facebook-less status would probably render me unemployable in the not-to-distant future.

Yikes, one more reason NOT to have a Facebook account! I know “everybody” is on there, but you and I aren’t, and aren’t we included in “everybody”?!
I think we’re a smaller subset of ‘everybody’, Debbie 😆 I don’t like the idea of being that accessible to strangers…it was hard enough to scrape up the courage to do a blog!

Amazing some of the bad decisions that come out on The FB. Sad that belly shots might be construed as “bad”. And the others are right. Friending the boss, especially such a judgmental one, definitely shows a lack of wisdom. Ugh.
I think the pictures of belly shots look worse than what they are (still not something I would do, much less post the pics). Judgment is good thing!
